Tatting Give Away by Tatting Chic!!!

I daily read many, many blogs. Though I don't know how to tat, Tatting Chic is one of my favorites and is having a wonderful giveaway in celebration of having reached the 50,000 visitor mark. She is giving away a beautiful "learn to tat" book, shuttle, thread and a beautiful tatted heart that she tatted 16 years ago. Her button is in my sidebar on the right and you can click that as well to get to the site to sign up for the giveaway.

Now, I really, really want to win her giveaway but am willing to share the link to her blog in hopes that if I don't win, someone who reads my blog will.

I learned to knit from my Aunt Rita who also tatted but I never learned how. So, I contacted Tatting Chic for some guidance on how to get started. As busy as she is, she has been most helpful. Tatting will be my "new monthly thing" for August.

Good luck to you and me!!!!

  3. I've always wanted to learn. Grandma was going to teach, she taught me hand embroidery, but she pasted before we could make a session of learning how.

  4. I admire how you always look for something new to try. My grandma did tatting, but I never learned. I'm looking forward to reading about your new adventure!

  5. I'm showing great restraint by not going to her site right now (though I might sneak there later), cause I've always wanted to try my hand at it too; but I just can't, shouldn't, get embroiled with another hobby/craft. lol

Need to go do some yard work, so will take a break here from the computer for awhile.

Popping in to say hi to all the Bridge members, we've got some news about special summer needs, goals, new design etc. Pop in to catch up. Besides, it gets lonely there when no one comes to visit.

  6. Wow, it's so great to read that you are trying tatting for your "new thing" in August!

My husband is from Maine too, the Bradley/Orono area.

Well, anyway...don't just wanted to offer my tatting support in case you hit a stumbling block and TattingChic isn't immediately available. (Though she usually is...she's amazing!)

Looking forward to following your tatting adventure in the weeks to come.
