Not Very Nice Comments On My Blog

Ok, if you leave a very negative or nasty comment on my blog and you choose "anonymous" because you don't have the integrity to identify yourself so I can respond, it will be deleted.

If you wish to knit with what I consider crap yarn, go for it but don't criticize me. There are many colorways out there because we have different tastes. So, you don't like my color selection so just be polite and be quiet. Geesh!!!!

I have a right to my opinion, what yarn I want to use, or what products I don't wish to purchase. Seeing you wish to lurk, be negative, etc., I have changed my settings and your comments will never see the light of day on my blog. Anonymous comments will not even be read and automatically be deleted.

So to the person who left me that comment today............go read someone else's blog.

  1. OMG! I can't believe someone has nothing better to do than come and insult your blog- and not even leave a name. Well, you are better off with comment moderation anyway.

  3. Good for you! Another thing that you & I have in common....we're not afraid to speak our minds and we don't like it when people don't have the courage to to be up front about things.

  5. Good for you!

What ever happened to our mother's admonition, "If you can't say something nice, bite your tongue and say nothing at all." ?

Your blog is like your living room....one should never say something they wouldn't say to you in your living room.

I am glad you spoke up and I am sorry someone was rude and inconsiderate. There are more of us nice folks than there are of them, so knit on. (~_~)

  6. I'm so sorry. My mamma always said, "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all". Anonymous needs to learn that. :-(

  7. How, can ignorant ones ruin it for the people who do follow your blog, and your awesome talent! I have learned so much from reading your blogs, and your tips, and am now venturing in to attempt the magic loop method after many many pairs of socks made with dp's and am sure struggling with this,, on my third attempt,, but not willing to just throw in the towel! Any tips would be so greatful!
And by all means keep happy knitting and sharing,, cause we love ya!

  8. I'm sorry someone left a nasty anonymous comment here. Some people just want to be mean or negative. I love your blog- you make great things. The John Deere swear is awesome. WITH the toy tractor, it's the bomb. WITH the tractor gummies? The best present ever.

  11. How absolutely stupid of Anonymous to do that. However I do notice that same person seems to leave a lot of controversial comments on a lot of blogs. Too bad Anonymous doesn't have a life.

  12. Joansie, you do beautiful work. Mean people s*ck. Don't let it get you down. I think you have a lot more fans than foes here.

Paula, who doesn't always have a lot to say, but has been reading you since we met at Alison's signing in November...

  15. Man, I don't check in for a couple of days and the world goes to pot! LOL Joansie I am so sorry someone was mean and rude. I am very glad you've taken steps to protect yourself. No one would come into your physical home and insult you to your face (I hope!) so why should they be allowed to do it in your virtual home? I can't even imagine anyone having anything bad to say about you.

  17. You are one of the sweetest people I know, I can't even imagine someone leaving a hateful comment to you. But you know there are some out there who thrive on trying to hurt others, or feel that their opinion is the only one. I had to do the same thing with a nasty comment last year when someone left one anonymously and I just deleted it, telling them the same thing you did, if I can't respond to them, I won't keep it on my blog. I look at it this way, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and expressing it is fine as long as it is with manners and without hatefullness, but thrusting it on someone is not acceptable. If they are offended they can go somewhere else where they are not offended. sheesh!
